Getting Started with GeoMine: A Beginner's Guide
New to GeoMine? Here's everything you need to start earning rewards from scratch.
Never used a rewards app before? No problem. GeoMine is designed to be the easiest way to earn real rewards. This guide assumes zero knowledge.
What Is GeoMine?
GeoMine is a rewards platform that lets you earn coins by visiting real businesses. You earn coins automatically while shopping, dining, or exploring — then redeem them for discounts, gift cards, coupons, and more.
Step 1: Download the App
Get GeoMine from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Search "GeoMine" — it's the one with the gold pickaxe logo.
Step 2: Create Your Account
Tap "Sign Up" and enter your email and a password. That's it. No credit card required. A wallet is automatically created for you.
Step 3: Allow Location Access
The app will ask to use your location "While Using the App." Say yes — this is how GeoMine verifies you're actually at a business. We only access location during mining (never in the background).
Step 4: Find a Business
Open the Map tab. You'll see markers for participating businesses. Each marker shows the business name, category, and tier (Bronze, Silver, or Gold). Gold = highest earning rate.
Step 5: Walk In and Mine
When you're physically at a business, tap the marker and then "Start Mining." You'll see a timer and a coin counter. Stay at least 15 minutes to earn coins.
Step 6: Check Your Wallet
After your session, go to the Wallet tab. You'll see your balance and a log of all your earnings. Congratulations — you're now earning rewards!
What's Next?
Keep mining at different businesses. The more you mine, the more you earn. Browse the Rewards tab to see discounts, gift cards, and offers you can redeem with your coins.
