GeoMine Privacy and Security: What You Need to Know
How GeoMine protects your data, your location, and your wallet.
A platform that tracks your location must take privacy and security seriously. Here's exactly what GeoMine does and doesn't do with your data.
Location Tracking
What we track: GPS coordinates during active mining sessions only.
What we DON'T track: Your location at any other time. When you're not mining, GeoMine has zero access to your location. We don't run background tracking. Period.
Data Encryption
- All network communication uses TLS 1.3 encryption
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (12 salt rounds — industry standard)
- JWT tokens authenticate requests with short expiry (15 minutes) and automatic refresh rotation
- Database connections are encrypted
What Businesses See
Businesses receive ONLY aggregated, anonymized analytics:
- Total unique visitors (number, not names)
- Average session duration
- Peak mining hours
- Trend data over time
They cannot see: your name, email, wallet address, specific visit times, or any personal information.
Who Has Access to Your Data
- You: Full access to your account, wallet, and mining history
- GeoMine servers: Process mining verification and store your data
- No one else: We don't sell data. We don't share personal info with businesses.
Your Rights
Under CCPA and GDPR:
- Request a copy of all your data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of non-essential data collection
- Revoke location permissions (disables mining)
